Advice Drop In Session (Monday)

Monday Drop-In Session 9:00am to 4:00pm
Our Drop-in sessions are available to provide you with 20 minutes of initial advice. Please note: you will not always be seen by the same Advice Worker. If you wish to see a specific Advisor then you will need to make an appointment by calling 271294. Please be aware there is restricted space in the waiting area, so please refrain from arriving prior to the start time.


Cancer Support Activities Session (Monday)

Starting on Monday 2nd October we are delivering an Activities Session from 11:00am to 12:00noon here in the centre.

Being active can be an important part of your recovery during and after cancer treatment and can help to strengthen muscles, bones and joints and improve your overall wellbeing

These are fun, low-level activity sessions which you will feel able to join in with whatever your fitness level or ability and which take into account any side effects of medical treatments.

No need to book, just pop along!


Slimming World (Monday)

Meetings at 5.30pm and 7.30pm
This warm and friendly group of slimmers meets weekly for care, support and encouragement in managing their weight loss, with the help and advice of a trained consultant.


Art Group (Monday)

Art Group 6:30pm to 8:30pm
This friendly group meets every Monday from 6:30 to 8:30pm and is open to adults who are interested in learning painting and drawing for both beginners and those with more advanced skills. The tutor has many years of experience in various art techniques such as pencil drawing, oils, pastels, water colours and charcoal. The weekly session fee is £6.


Debt Advice Drop In (Monday)

Our Debt Advice Drop In session enables you to get some initial advice and an assessment in relation to your finances.
This drop in takes place at the Community Hub South, Wynyard Road, Hartlepool.


Cancer Support Group (Tuesday)

Our cancer support group meets every fortnight from 10:30 to 12:00am and is open to individuals touched by any type of cancer.

The group exists to give those living with cancer, their family, friends and carers support and companionship on their cancer journey.
Refreshment provided.

Upcoming meeting dates are 21st March; 4th April; 18th April; 2nd May 2017 then fortnightly thereafter.

3 R's (Tuesday)

3 R's 1:30pm to 3:30pm
This ‘members only’ group meets every week and brings women aged 50+ together to enjoy bingo, outings and other social activities. A weekly membership fee is paid.


Slimming World (Wednesday)

This warm and friendly group of slimmers meets weekly for care, support and encouragement in managing their weight loss, with the help and advice of a trained consultant.

There are five separate sessions (8.00am, 10.00am, 12 noon, 5.00pm and 7.00pm) so members can choose whichever is most convenient.


Tees Credit Union (Wednesday)

Come to West View Community Centre on Wednesdays between 9am and 12 noon to open a Tees Credit Union Account, enquire about Tees Credit Union loans or for enquiries, payments in or withdrawal requests in respect of an existing Tees Credit Union Account.No appointment necessary.


Craft Group (Thursday)

Craft Group 10.00am to 12:00 noon
This group has been established for many years and welcomes new members. A membership fee is paid each week towards the group's expenses.


Job Club (Thursday)

Our new Job Club ran in partnership with Hartlepool Adult Education starts on Thursday 21st September 2017.

Why not pop along between 1:00 and 3:30pm for help and support in looking for work?

The Job Club can help you with identifying your skills, CV writing, completing application forms and interview skills.

No need to book, just call in!


National Careers Service (Thursday)

Appointments can be booked with an adviser from the National Careers Service for careers advice and support to write your CV.

The Liners (Friday)

The Liners 1:00pm to 3:00pm
This ‘members only’ group meets every week to enjoy Line Dancing. A weekly membership fee is payable and during the year additional activities such as seasonal events and outings are arranged by the committee. The average age of members is 50 plus.
