Our Volunteers are vital in helping us keep our service up and running and meeting the needs of the clients who we support.

Below are the roles which we currently have available.

Volunteer First Stage Advice Worker

The purpose of this role is to assist residents with the completion of relevant forms, or signpost to any other assistance needed within the generic term 'advice provision.

You will be a point of contact within the community to assist/support people to overcome their barriers in engaging with the range of local services to enable them to fully participate and make a positive difference to their community.

You will be expected to provide a professional customer service, ensuring all enquiries are dealt with confidently, courteously and most importantly confidentially.

 

Volunteer Buddy 

The purpose of this role is to provide short term support to clients in the community living with cancer by accompanying the to attend hospital appointments and to provide companionship and signposting to other sources of support and advice to enable them to manage their own health and wellbeing.

Ideally you will have either direct experience of living with cancer or have supported someone else on their cancer journey.
